This new knitting pattern adapted by Louise Robert is inspired by the iconic sweater worn by Elvis Presley in the film JAILHOUSE ROCK. Perfect for fans of the King!

YARN 

•  Louise Robert Collection - MERINO WORSTED (100% Merino wool sw; 200 meters (220 yds) per 100g) - 6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9) - (10, 10, 10, 11, 12) skeins - shown in Veronese OR Oxford Blue or 1200 (1246, 1346, 1448, 1586, 1680) - (1810, 1914, 1978, 2192, 2382) meters.

NEEDLES AND ACCESSORIES 

• Circular needle
  MAIN: needle of 5 mm; US #8 - or size required to obtain gauge
  RIBS: needle of 4.5 mm; US #7 - or size required to obtain gauge

NOTES:
To remain true to the version worn by Elvis in the film Jailhouse Rock, and also because the stitch pattern is very stretchy, this model was designed to be worn with very little ease (0 to 1 in.). For more ease, choose the size accordingly. Each piece is knitted seperately from the botton to the top and a seam is required to assemble each piece at the end.

When using hand-dyed yarn, we suggest alternating skeins to ensure a uniform color effect, knitting 2 rows with one skein, 2 rows with the second skein and so on until the end.
